Introducing Sonova Studio

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our exclusive in-house collection, Sonova Studio.
Sonova Studio celebrates a love of colour, a connection to nature and a passion for pattern design. With this brand new collection, we seek to move away from mass production and encourage the in-house talent at Blinds Direct to bloom.
Handpainted, handcrafted
Every Sonova Studio design is handpainted by our talented pattern designer. The printed fabrics are then transformed into made to measure blinds, curtains, cushions and lamp shades by our highly skilled in-house manufacturing team, right here in Yorkshire. It is our goal to provide every customer with a beautifully designed, expertly crafted and affordable product that will be treasured for years to come.
How it all began
We noticed a growing desire amongst our customers for handpainted, handcrafted and artisanal home design. We’ve learnt that the modern shopper is less interested in picture-perfect and mass produced items, preferring items that are unique and that tell a story. That’s what inspired us to design our own unique collection that is tailored to our customers, offering fresh, contemporary and varied prints for every home.
Our pattern designer
Our pattern designer, Eilidh, joined our team in 2019. Traditional textile techniques are a key part of her process, particularly in the form of watercolour inks. But Eilidh also embraces her digital skillset in order to develop colour, scale and pattern. These methods make for a collection that seamlessly blends traditional craft with technology.
