Summer is in full swing and as schools close and children spend more time at home, there is still time to start a little project that will have great results! Transforming a child’s bedroom into an exciting space filled with imagination and light control is a great way to make your little one’s even happier this summer. As part of our popular social snapshot series, we’re today looking at some amazingly decorated kids rooms that are brimming with fun and imagination!

Our favourite social posts from July

In many of our social snapshot blogs, we often focus on an array of products and styles but in the last few weeks, we’ve noticed a great selection of kids’ bedrooms have been showcased and we just had to share them with you. Ideal for helping a little one expand their imagination or recovering after a busy day exploring, a well decorated kid’s room offers a great selection of benefits. Let’s take a look!

Awesome aliens

Our first stop is with @my_little_northern_irish_abode – a beautiful account brimming with interior design inspiration.

The first thing you notice about this room is that the little boy who lives there must love aliens! While the neutral walls and warming cream Roman blind offer a cosy finish to the room, the bed is bursting with extraterrestrial excitement!

The space themed bedding and beautiful soft toy aliens – what looks like an axolotl – will help the little boy’s imagination soar which is exactly what you want for developing brains and interests.

The use of a lovely plant will help him keep grounded and adds a little touch of biophilia to the room which is further enhanced with the lovely rattan storage box at the foot of the bed.

The Roman blind at the window is the perfect choice for this room as Roman blinds can let light flood the room, as demonstrated by the photo, but when it gets to night time, they help black out the room helping the child that sleeps there enjoy a perfect night’s rest.

Perfect pinks

Secondly is this beyond beautiful girls room by @my_persimmon_home! With such acute attention to detail, this room is the perfect environment for a very lucky little girl.

The first thing you notice when looking at this space is the use of colour. What’s amazing is that the placement of the colours makes you think it’s a lot more pink than it actually is which makes the whole room feel calming and sophisticated.

The pink of the doll’s house and other accessories pair beautifully with the warming cream walls to make a room filled with personality.

Moreover, adding another pop of pink is the quality Roman blind covering the window. This is the perfect choice for his room as it helps keep the use of pink contained while still letting it work its magic upon the overall aesthetic.

The addition of white items set a little bit in from the walls adds a feeling of depth to the room without drawing your attention too far away from the more decorative pieces found on the walls and window.

A carnival of colour

Last but not least is this brilliant blue room by @hannah_renovates. Now, eagle eyed readers will notice this image is from April but we’ve been super excited to showcase it with other amazing children’s rooms. It was definitely worth the wait!

The best word to use when describing this room is joyful – just look how happy the little one is to grow up there!

The different shades of blue combined with chic white are a pleasure to behold and the abundance of toys firmly stamps this room as the ideal setting for a little one. What’s more, the colours make this room look bright and exciting which is the gold standard in kids’ bedroom decoration.

To complete the room is a Roman blind featuring an exciting print of hot air balloons alongside colourful mountains, animals and woodland scenes. The shapes and colours are perfect for babies and toddlers while making the room even more appealing to the eye. Finally, every good child room has a dog in and we’re sure Houston and his four legged friend will be super happy!
