How To Measure For Aluminium Venetian Blinds
When it comes to ordering your wooden Venetian blind, you'll be given two options for the fitting type - recess and exact. These refer to where your made-to-measure blind will fit in relation to the window.
Inside Recess (RECESS SIZE) - You will need this measurement if your new blind is to fit inside the window recess. Measure the width and drop from three different positions ensuring you provide the smallest measurement. We will then make the necessary deductions to ensure the blind fits neatly within the recess of your window.
Outside Recess (EXACT SIZE) - An exact size blind is the measurement you need to take if the blind will hang outside the recess, overlapping the window. Select how much to overlap the recess at each side, we recommend at least 7.5cm per side, as well as the top and bottom. As with the recess measurement, measure the width and the drop in three different positions ensuring you provide us with the smallest measurement. When cleaning your blinds, first, place them in the closed position and go over the whole blind with a soft duster, wiping from the middle outwards. Second, open then close the blind in the opposite direction, and repeat the process.
If there are sticky or greasy stains that need removing, try a mild detergent like washing up liquid. Use a damp cloth to gradually buff the mark and then pat the affected slats dry with kitchen roll. You can use baby wipes equally as effectively.
